Share the Love Volunteer Service Project - Davis Y

On February 16, YMCA members, volunteers, and participants from our After School Child Care program will come together to carry out the “Share the Love Care Packages” service project in support of local seniors during the winter and Valentine season. Together, they will assemble 100 care packages filled with essential cold-weather items such as gloves, hats, underwear, and warm socks, along with hygiene supplies including toiletries, lotion, tissues, lip balm, deodorant, and wipes.
Each care package will also include a handwritten note of encouragement, created by our After School Child Care children to share messages of kindness, warmth, and connection. The completed care packages will be delivered to residents at NHC Senior Center, providing comfort, dignity, and a meaningful reminder that they are cared for and valued by their YMCA community.
