East Tennessee Collaborative
Empowering Families. Strengthening Futures.
The East Tennessee Collaborative (ETC) is designed to help families build financial stability, achieve independence, and create lasting success.
Through one-on-one coaching, workforce readiness, and connection to community resources, the Y supports parents and caregivers in setting goals, overcoming challenges, and building brighter futures for their families.

About the East Tennessee Collaborative
The YMCA of East Tennessee serves as a local partner organization of the East Tennessee Collaborative. The program focuses on helping families move beyond temporary assistance by providing tools for long-term financial independence.
YOU set the goals. We’ll support you in taking steps toward achieving them.
We’ve helped families:
- Finish associate’s degrees and earn trade school certificates
- Reclaim their driver’s licenses
- Improve their credit scores and financial well-being
- Gain employment with hours that better fit their childcare needs

How It Works
Families enrolled in ETC receive personalized support designed to identify strengths, set goals, and overcome barriers.
- Enroll through YMCA referral.
- Meet regularly with your Mobility Mentor.
- Set personal and professional goals — such as employment, education, or financial milestones.
- Access resources to help you succeed, from job connections to wellness support.
ETC helps families not only find stability but also discover the confidence to create lasting change.
